The Erbil International Equestrian Club was founded in 2007 with six horses and a single sand arena. Nineteen years later it is the largest equestrian facility in the Kurdistan Region, with a full lesson programme, a competition calendar, a boarding yard and a veterinary clinic on site.
What we do
We teach people to ride, from a first twenty-minute pony ride to elementary dressage. We run competitions that riders travel from across Iraq to enter. We board privately owned horses. And we treat horses at our clinic.
Our horses
Every horse in the lesson string has a daily session limit and a minimum rest gap, and the booking system will not let anyone override them. That is not a marketing line; it is how the yard is run.
